Following the international break, there are just two matches left in the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga in 2024 for Eintracht Women. In their final home game of the year, Niko Arnautis’ side entertain Leipzig at the Stadion am Brentanobad on Monday evening (kick-off 18:00 CET).
Aiming to end the year on a high
Leipzig sit in mid-table after five wins, one draw and four defeats. Eintracht, meanwhile, go into Matchday 11 in second place and want to keep up the pace at the top. “For us it’s about mobilising all our resources for the final two matches of this year and being on it when it comes to our jobs with and without the ball,” declared head coach Arnautis. “We want two wins to crown a very good first half of the season and get off to a good start in the second half.”
Dunst and Reuteler sidelined
At the same time, Arnautis issued a warning about the opposition: “Leipzig are a very aggressive side but they also like to play with their footballing qualities.” Eintracht are without Barbara Dunst (cruciate ligament) and Géraldine Reuteler (calf), but Stina Johannes could be fit in time for Monday after leaving the German national team early due to muscular problems.
