Niko Arnautis’ side are currently second in the Google Pixel Women’s Bundesliga table and will take plenty of confidence into their home game against SC Freiburg on 14 October, with kick-off at the Stadion am Brentaobad at 18:00 CEST.

Freiburg sit fifth in the table with three wins, a draw and a defeat from their first five games. They also made it through to the next round of the DFB Cup with a 2-1 victory over Nürnberg, who were relegated to the second division at the end of last season. Ten points from five games represents the third-best start to a Bundesliga season for Freiburg, with only 2016/17 and 2017/18 seeing a better opening.
“Obviously looking for a win”
“Home games are always something special and I love playing in our stadium. The fans always make sure that we really enjoy it,” said Barbara Dunst, who was voted ‘Best Women’s Overseas Player’ on Monday at Austria’s Bruno awards ceremony.
It’s going to be an exciting match, that’s for sure.

“Freiburg have had a very good start to the season. During the summer when we played them in a friendly, we could already see that they had plenty of quality in their ranks, and with Shekiera Martinez up front, they’re always good for a goal. I’m looking forward to seeing her again,” added Dunst.
“Obviously, we’re looking for a win. It’s going to be an exciting match, that’s for sure. The most important thing for us is to keep going right until the final whistle and to stay true to the way we play.”
