Jella Veit moved to Eintracht Frankfurt from the Hamburger SV youth setup in summer 2021 and established herself as a key player for the U20 side in Women’s Bundesliga 2. After spending two seasons in the second string, she made her professional debut in the 2023/24 campaign in the second round of the DFB Cup at Hegauer FV, where she also scored the first of Eintracht’s eight goals on the day. Her debuts in the Women’s Bundesliga (Matchday 1 against SGS Essen) and UEFA Women’s Champions League (second leg of second qualifying round against Sparta Praha) followed in the same season, along with 15 appearances for the U20s. In total, Veit played 53 games for the U20 side and 46 for Eintracht’s first team, netting once for each team.
Developed into senior international
During her time in Frankfurt, Veit also made a total of 55 international appearances for Germany at youth level. The centre-back scored six goals and became an U17 European champion in 2022 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where she played every minute of the tournament. Veit made her debut for the senior national team in March of this year, coming on in the 69th minute of the 4-0 win over Norway in World Cup qualifying.
After five years in Hesse, the defender is looking for a new challenge with Union Berlin in the new season. Eintracht Frankfurt wishes Veit all the best for her future career.
