Essen match postponed due to COVID-19 case

SGE’s rearranged FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga match has had to be postponed, with almost the entire Eagles’ squad in isolation after a positive COVID-19 test.

Wednesday’s FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga fixture between Eintracht Frankfurt and SGS Essen, which had previously been postponed from Matchday 13, has had to be further delayed due to a positive COVID-19 test in the Eintracht camp.

The decision came on the back of news that almost the entire Eagles squad has been sent into self-isolation by the relevant health authorities. Every member of the team will be tested again by Wednesday evening, which will determine whether they have to remain in isolation.
