Eintracht Frankfurt Women were involved in an intense, nervy six-goal thriller in Hoffenheim on Matchday 6 of the FLYERALARM Women's Bundesliga, eventually coming away with a 3-3 draw.
Niko Arnautis' charges played well in the first half and had a two-goal cushion at the interval thanks to strikes from Sophia Kleinherne (12'), Géraldine Reuteler (26') and Laura Freigang (33'), with Nicole Billa (30') replying for the home side.
Eintracht made too many defensive mistakes in the second half, however, allowing Katharina Naschenweng (67', 83') to bring Hoffenheim level. Despite the draw, Arnautis' side remain second in the table.
Head coach Niko Arnautis: "I hope we didn't give any of our fans a heart attack given how tense that game was today. It was obviously a great match for neutrals to watch, but we would have liked a different outcome. We'll take the point though, even if we're frustrated we didn't bring the win over the line."
