Niko Arnautis’s charges were the better team from the outset and dominated their Spanish opponents. Laura Freigang scored a deserved opener in the 20th minute when she found the net from Carlotta Wamser’s cross. 

Anyomi brace

Eintracht doubled their lead in the 53rd minute when Nicole Anyomi finished from Remina Chiba’s clever pass, and the forward got her second goal of the game just five minutes later to make it 3-0.

 

Despite some intensive days of training in Portugal, Eintracht continued to dominate until the final whistle and they added gloss to the scoreline in the 88th minute when Elena Mühlemann teed up Gerladine Reuteler for the fourth and final goal of the day.

Head coach Niko Arnautis: “It was very important to get back in the groove. Huelva played defensively today and tried to close down the spaces. Overall, the girls did very well again and moved the ball around well despite all the intensive training sessions we’ve had in recent days. We still need a bit more fluidity in the final third, but we managed to score four goals and create other good chances. The intensity and amount of sessions in the training camp is high, so when you see how much enjoyment the girls have in a friendly, then it’s certainly been a successful start to the year.”
