Defender Janina Hechler is leaving Frankfurt after eight years at the club, with the 24-year-old joining Köln with immediate effect.
“I’ve known Janina since her very first days in Frankfurt and she is a shining example of how you can move up the ranks from the girls’ junior teams into the Bundesliga,” said head coach and sporting director Niko Arnautis. “She always completely identified with the city and the club. We’d like to thank Janina for her commitment over the past eight years and wish her nothing but the best for the future.”
