Laura Feiersinger signs on until 2024

Frankfurt’s vice-captain has signed a two-year contract extension with Eintracht.

Austria international Laura Feiersinger has penned an early two-year contract extension with Eintracht Frankfurt, taking her stay with the Eagles through to 30 June 2024.

The midfielder has played over 70 games for the club since joining Eintracht from SC Sand three years ago, scoring 22 goals. The 28-year-old, who has racked up nearly 180 Bundesliga appearances and over 80 international caps, has shared the captain’s armband with namesake Laura Freigang in the absence of injured Tanja Pawollek.

A EURO semi-finalist in 2017, Feiersinger enjoyed great success during her time with current German champions Bayern Munich, winning two league titles and a DFB Cup between 2011 and 2016.

“In addition to the incredible sporting abilities of our squad, the great potential for improvement both on and off the pitch coupled with the strong team ethic of everyone involved makes me very optimistic about the future,” said Feiersinger. “We have the opportunity to write new success stories in Frankfurt.”

“I think it’s wonderful that Laura Feiersinger, another leading figure in our current team, will also be part of our future path,” added sporting director Siegfried Dietrich. “This contract extension is another important milestone for the future plans of our Bundesliga women’s team.”
