Eintracht Women’s goalkeeping trio for the forthcoming season is complete, with Lea Paulick joining Stina Johannes and Lina Altenburg from the summer. The 24-year-old has agreed a contract until 30 June 2027.
After joining Nürnberg at the age of 16, the 1.74-metre-tall shot-stopper made 140 appearances in all competitions for Der Club. She missed the start of last season – her first in the top flight – because of a shoulder injury and was only able to make her Bundesliga debut on Matchday 15. The Nürnberg captain started every league game after that.
Dream to be ‘part of a team that plays in Europe’
“I’m proud that I can wear the eagle on my chest from this summer,” said Paulick. “Eintracht Frankfurt is a really big club, where I can take the next step and expect very professional conditions. Being part of a team that plays in Europe has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I want to help the team here in Frankfurt as best I can on the pitch and also with my personality, in order to achieve maximum success with Eintracht.”

Lea Paulick
Niko Arnautis, head coach and sporting director, explained: “I’ve known of Lea for several years. Even at youth level, you could tell that she’s a very talented goalkeeper. When a door opened in our team due to the departure of Cara Bösl, we immediately thought of Lea and had very good talks. At 24 years old, she already brings a fair amount of experience with her and played her first matches in the Bundesliga in the second half of the season. We’re very happy to have now completed our goalkeeping trio – with Lea as the experienced number two behind Stina Johannes and Lina Altenberg as a young talent as third choice – and to go into the new season with these three.”
