Leonie Köster is leaving Eintracht Frankfurt before the end of her contract to join Swiss top-flight side FC Basel on 1 July. The 22-year-old Munich native joined Eintracht from Bayern Munich’s U20 outfit in summer 2020, making 53 competitive outings for the club. The midfielder also made one appearance in the UEFA Women’s Champions League as well as 31 in the Women’s Bundesliga. She scored seven goals in 17 games for Eintracht’s second-tier side in Women’s Bundesliga 2.
