Pernille Sanvig joins Eintracht Women

Denmark youth international Pernille Sanvig has joined the Eagles on a contract until 2026.

Eighteen-year-old midfielder Pernille Sanvig has joined Eintracht Frankfurt Women’s Bundesliga side from Danish top-flight club Kolding IF on a contract through to 2026.

Sanvig has already made 34 appearances in Denmark’s top division since making her debut as a 15-year-old in 2021. She has appeared in all 14 matches for fifth-place Kolding this term, starting 12. Sanvig has also registered four assists in 20 appearances for Denmark U19s, including two in U19 Championship qualifying at the end of 2023.

“The perfect place for my development”

Pernille Sanvig: “It means a great deal for me to join Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. I’m looking forward to a new challenge. Frankfurt seems like the perfect place for my development. Eintracht are one of the best teams in Germany, and to play here means a great deal. I want to keep improving here and take the next steps [in my development]. I’m an eagle now!”

Head coach Niko Arnautis: “I’m happy we were able to sign Pernille at such short notice. We’ve signed a very promising talent from Denmark. We’ve always managed to improve young players in the past. We’ll integrate Pernille one step at a time and give her the time she needs to settle in Germany and in the squad, so she can reach her full potential and we can help her take her next steps.”

Sanvig will join the squad next week and won’t be available for the home match against SGS Essen.
