Sara Doorsoun commits until 2025

Defender Sara Doorsoun has signed a two-year contract extension with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Sara Doorsoun is set to remain an Eagles player for the next two seasons at least after the 31-year-old extended her contract with Eintracht until summer 2025. Her previous deal was due to expire in June.
The Cologne-born Germany international joined Frankfurt from VfL Wolfsburg in January 2022 and quickly established herself in Niko Arnautis’s side. She has appeared in 27 of a possible 28 competitive games for the Eagles, 26 of them in the starting line-up.

“We still have big plans”

“Since day one I’ve felt very happy in the team, who did a great job of helping me settle in,” said Doorsoun. “When we started talking about an extension back in October, I soon realised I want to continue down this path. We still have big plans, we want to secure third place and qualify for the Champions League proper. Every single one of us is desperate to do that.”

“Stability and experience”

Eintracht coach and head of sport Arnautis added: “I’m pleased that a player with Sara’s experience will continue playing for us. She’s shown during her time in Frankfurt how valuable she is for the team, both as a player and as a person. She’s very strong in the tackle and has pace to burn, but she can also help the team with her experience and bring stability at key moments. Even though she’s already experienced a lot in her career, she’s incredibly motivated to continue on this path with us in Frankfurt.”
