Eintracht defender Sara Doorsoun has extended her contract with the club, which was due to expire this summer, until 30 June 2026. “In the three years I’ve been in Frankfurt, I’ve played the best football of my career,” she said. “I’ve felt very welcome at the club from day one. A lot of trust has been placed in me, which I really appreciate. I’m completely happy in Frankfurt.”
Key player on and off the pitch
Eintracht head coach and sporting director Niko Arnautis added: “We’re really pleased that Sara is staying in Frankfurt until 2026. She’s proven her unbelievable qualities again this season. She’s returned to the international fold in Frankfurt and is really important to us in sporting terms, leading the team from the back. However, she’s also very, very important as a person off the pitch, where she takes on a lot of responsibility as an experienced vice-captain and voice. We’re very happy to have a player of Sara’s calibre staying with us.”
