Hannah Johann will complete Eintracht Frankfurt Women’s trio of goalkeepers for the 2021/22 season. The 18-year-old joins from second-division side Würzburger Kickers, signing a contract with the Bundesliga club until 30 June 2024.
The ambitious and technically gifted keeper has made four appearances for Würzburger Kickers this season, having joined from 1. FC Nürnberg last year. Prior to that, she gained experience abroad at the Shattuck-St. Mary’s School – a school that specialises in football – in the US state of Minnesota.
We see great potential in her and are pleased that she wants to take the next step with us here in Frankfurt.

“We see great potential in her”
Johann is looking forward to the next step in her career. “I’m very grateful to Eintracht for giving me the chance, and I realise that I have to leave my comfort zone in order to progress to the next level,” she said.
SGE head coach Niko Arnautis is excited by the “young, talented and ambitious goalkeeper”, adding: “Hannah made big advances in the physical department through her year abroad in America. We see great potential in her and are pleased that she wants to take the next step with us here in Frankfurt.”
