Eintracht Frankfurt are once again sending the largest contingent of internationals to the Germany senior women’s team, with seven this time. Sara Doorsoun, Laura Freigang, Lisanne Gräwe, Stina Johannes, Sophia Kleinherne, Elisa Senß and Pia Wolter have been named in Christian Wück’s squad for the upcoming friendlies against Switzerland (29 November, 20:00 CET) and Italy (2 December, 20:30 CET). Nicole Anyomi has been placed on standby. Eintracht team-mates Géraldine Reuteler and Nadine Riesen will be on the opposing side in the first match.
Pawollek vs. Dunst
Captain Tanja Pawollek and midfielder Barbara Dunst will also come up against each other with their national teams in a crucial play-off for the European Championship next summer. Poland and Austria will battle it out for one of the final places in the tournament over two legs on 29 November in Gdansk (18:00 CET) and 3 December in Vienna (18:15 CET). Frankfurt striker Lara Prasnikar is in the Slovenia squad for a friendly against Croatia on 30 November.
