After four years in Frankfurt, versatile defender and midfielder Sjoeke Nüsken is embarking on a new adventure. The 22-year-old will join Chelsea, who currently occupy second place in the English FA Women’s Super League and recently lifted the FA Cup, in time for the new season.
Nüsken joined 1. FFC Frankfurt in 2019, having previously played for FSV Gütersloh’s Under-17s and SV Westfalia Rhynern in the men’s Under-19 Landesliga. The Westphalia native made the step up to the Bundesliga in Frankfurt, scoring 13 goals in 92 competitive outings for the club. She also worked her way into the senior Germany squad during her time at Eintracht, racking up 15 appearances since her debut in February 2021.
