Late kick-off against Potsdam

Eintracht Women are eyeing the next home win against Turbine Potsdam, who themselves are fighting for every point.

Following the important 3-2 victory at home to Bayer Leverkusen, Eintracht Women are back at the Stadion am Brentanobad on Sunday 9 February (kick-off 18:30 CET) as they host Turbine Potsdam. The visitors are bottom of the table and still winless in the Women’s Bundesliga, making Eintracht the clear favourites.

Team news

There’s been positive news this week with Sophia Kleinherne resuming parts of team training following her injury. Long-term absentees Ilayda and Dilara Acikgöz and Barbara Dunst remain sidelined, as does Sophie Nachtigall (muscular problem).

“Remain patient when Potsdam sit back”

“We started the year very well against Leverkusen and managed to pick up from where we left off last year,” said Géraldine Reuteler, who bagged her sixth league goal of the season against Bayer. “We want to continue like that. Potsdam are battling relegation and that will certainly be evident. They’ll do everything from start to finish to get something. We obviously have to stand up to that and impose our game. It’ll be important to remain patient when Potsdam are sitting back. There might not be as much space at the start as at the end, but we have the belief that we’ll score goals in every game and we’ll do that again on Sunday.”
